After working in banking and brokerage, and being downsized twice, I decided to make extra money doing medical transcriptions and secretarial jobs while still working a full-time job. When my son was born in 2002, my husband and I decided that I would stay home and take care of the baby. This was my opportunity to take on more clients. One of my dear clients, Col. James J. Hayes, kept telling me that I should be running my own business and my accountant, Barry Wachholder, kept telling me that I should incorporate. In 2004, I finally took the leap and Outsource Resource, Inc. was created.
Today I offer flexible administrative services to small businesses and individuals. All the years of secretarial experience gives me the ability to offer my clients the services they need without the additional overhead.
If there is one thing that I have learned in all these years it is to work my business around my life, not my life around the business. Keeping this in mind, I am able to be the Mom that I want to be and still use my knowledge and experience to be a successful entrepreneur.
